Description

Melanistic black leopards are one of the rarest creatures you can encounter on a safari. Laikipia is one of the best places on Earth to see black leopards in the wild. Luckily, Sidai Camp lies at the heart of a range of several black leopards. Local guides, who are familiar with the habits of these beautiful cats, will help you track and see them. This may even include famous individual cats such as “Giza,” the black leopard who became quite well known.

African Wild Dogs, Painted Wolf, or Cape hunting Dogs are the many names that Lycaon Pictus are called. These social wild dogs are rarely seen in Africa, as farmers once hunted them to near extinction. Few who venture on safari are privileged to see them, but Laikipia is one of their strongholds. Guests staying at Sidai have a good chance of spotting them, and if you are lucky, you may even see part of a hunt.
